EXPLANATION OF Consecutive Numbers

DESCRIPTION

Consecutive numbers are numbers that appear right next to each other in natural counting order. For example, 12 and 13 are consecutive because 13 comes immediately after 12. A longer chain, such as 27, 28, 29, and 30, is also a sequence of consecutive numbers.

In lottery draws, consecutive numbers mean that two or more drawn numbers stand side by side without gaps. For instance, if the drawn numbers include 5, 6, 7, then this is a run of three consecutive numbers. If the draw includes 15 and 16, that is a pair of consecutive numbers.

In standard games for example 22 23 are two consecutive numbers:

In Pick games consecutive numbers are the numbers that have different digits,

Here is an example of consecutive numbers 345.

NUMBERS CHOOSING ADVICE

Please note that in lottery games (except Keno) it is rather rare that lottery drawings contain many consecutive numbers.
Don’t avoid them: Consecutive numbers are not uncommon—many real draws include pairs or small sequences.

Use short sequences: Include 2 or 3 consecutive numbers occasionally, but avoid long chains unless data supports it.

Mix with non-consecutive picks: A balanced ticket often includes both types.

Check past draws: Some games tend to produce consecutive numbers more often than others—analyze the history.

Including a consecutive pair or trio can improve variety in your selections and may reflect real draw patterns.

FILTERING NUMBERS WITH FILTER Consecutive Numbers

WHAT THIS FILTER IS FOR

This filter allows you to control whether consecutive numbers are included in your analysis or ticket sets. It can be applied to lottery numbers, wheel system combinations, or generated tickets, giving you more flexibility in how you study or play the game.

By using the Consecutive Numbers filter, you can:

Exclude consecutive numbers if you want to avoid runs like 12–13 or 27–28–29 in your selections.

Include only tickets with consecutive numbers if you’re specifically looking for sequences that appear together in draws.

HOW TO ADD FILTER

On the Filters page select the Add Filter tab, choose Consecutive Numbers main filters from the list on the left side of page.
Select Consecutive Numbers particular filter from the list on the right side of page.

Click the Add Filter button located on the toolbar. Selected filter will be added to your Game Filters list.
If you want to add more than one filter, select more filters using CTRL+A keys to select them all or hold CTRL key and select filters with mouse

For more detailed information about filters page please see Filters Interface topic

HOW TO SET FILTER PROPERTIES

After adding the filter, you can go to the Game Filters page in the same Filters window to edit the filter properties.

The added filter will be located under the Consecutive Numbers group of all filters, with its value in the Filter Condition Options  cell set to 2 ,3, 4  etc as how many consecutive numbers are being analyzed

Use

If selected, the filter will be used to apply filtering.

Action

Sets the filter action applied by the filter to determine the final outcome when the filter’s condition on consecutive numbers is met.

You can choose to accept or reject tickets that contain consecutive numbers.

Select your preferred option from the drop-down menu in the Action column.

When you choose Accept action then:

The generated ticket will include only number sets that contain consecutive numbers (for example, 12–13 or 27–28–29).

The wheel system will only accept combinations that meet the consecutive number condition defined in the Filter Condition Options.

When you choose Reject action then:

The generated ticket will exclude any number sets that contain consecutive numbers.

The filter will reject wheel system combinations if they include numbers in consecutive order.

Property

Not used with this filter

Number Main Type

Sets the filter by Number Main Type, allowing you to further refine consecutive number analysis.

If the main type is set to ALL, any consecutive numbers are considered, regardless of type.

If the main type is set to a specific type, only consecutive numbers that belong to that type are considered in the analysis.

Number Subtype

Sets the filter by Number Subtype, giving an additional layer of control.

If set to ALL, the filter includes consecutive numbers regardless of subtype.

If set to a specific subtype, the filter applies only to consecutive numbers matching that subtype on the game layout.

With this filter, the final quantity of number types will align with the value of the consecutive numbers filter.
For example if you wan to filter by 2 consecutive numbers and Number Main Type is set to Contact and Number Subtype is set to Hot, then even if there are 2 consecutive numbers to accept or reject, the filter will fail if those consecutive numbers are not as Contact and Hot types in any order.

Please refer to the Filters - Types of Numbers topic for more details on filtering numbers by type and subtype.

Value

Sets the required length of consecutive numbers for the filter to be satisfied.

For example, setting the value to 2 means the filter looks for pairs (like 5–6), while setting it to 3 requires runs of three (like 14–15–16).
The value also applies to Number Main Type and Number Subtype options.

Range

Defines the allowed range of consecutive sequences in a ticket or wheel combination.

For instance, setting the range to 2–3 means the filter will accept only those tickets that contain at least 2 and up to 3 consecutive numbers.

The range value applies to Number Main Type and Number Subtype options.

Condition

Sets the filter condition to determine how consecutive numbers are matched.

You can select a filter condition from the drop-down list, such as:

Equals Filter Value

Tickets: Requires that the draw contains exactly the specified length of consecutive numbers (e.g., exactly 2 numbers in sequence).

Wheel System: Accepts only those wheel combinations that match the exact consecutive length.

Higher than Filter Value

Tickets: Accepts tickets only if they contain longer consecutive runs than the one defined in the Value cell.

Wheel System: Ensures the wheel includes only sequences longer than the set value.

Lower than Filter Value

Tickets: Accepts tickets only if they contain shorter consecutive runs than the specified value.

Wheel System: Rejects combinations with longer runs, allowing only shorter consecutive sequences.

Range of Values

Tickets: Requires that the ticket contain consecutive numbers within a specified range of lengths (e.g., 2–4 in a row).

Wheel System: Restricts accepted wheel combinations to runs of consecutive numbers within the defined range.

EXAMPLE

Here is the example of setting up filter to filter wheel system or numbers when generating tickets:
For example in a game 6/49 and for flexible and rather fail safe filtering please do as following
Set the Action property to Reject
Set the Number Main Type and Number Subtype to All

Under Filter Condition Options > Value set the value to 3
Under Filter Condition Options > Condition choose More Than Filter Value condition
In the result all 4 and more consecutive numbers will be rejected. Please note that in Keno games the safe value of consecutive numbers might be increased

VISUAL ANALYSIS OF Consecutive Numbers

HOW TO ANALYZE

From Visual Analyser menu select:

Types of Numbers > Consecutive Numbers
The result of analysis is shown on a Visual Analyser's screen

DIAGRAMS INTERPRETATION

The first diagram shown at the top of screen illustrates the general occurrence of Consecutive Numbers numbers.

consecutive

If consecutive numbers are not drawn as contact numbers, the diagram will display a point in row 0. If they are drawn the diagram will show a point in the row +
The upcoming diagrams will examine consecutive numbers drawn as the main numbers type.
For example if there are 2 consecutive numbers drawna nd both numbers are Contact type numbers then diagram will show a point in the row +

Please read also the Analysis Base topic to learn how to recognize the new number type after a new draw.
